Singer/Songwriter Linda Coil
Linda is an accomplished singer/songwriter who performs under the name of Linda Coil. She has performed on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry as well as the Country Music Hall of Fame. With 3 albums recorded in Nashville, she has also had the honor to be an opening act for such greats as Kenny Chesney, Mickey Gilley, John Berry and Tanya Tucker. Linda was the lead singer for Bob Kuban's Trilogy before taking some time off to enjoy her newlywed life. Today you can catch her singing a song or two with the amazing duo of Scott Laytham and Karl Trickee Holmes, but you never know where she'll turn up next! Linda's notes..."It's Just A Kiss" was my first attempt at songwriting. I wanted to create a very simple song with a good rhythm that could crossover to the pop genre. I think I accomplished that in this song even if it never made to a Top 40 list! It's still my favorite and I'm optimistic that it could find it's way into many hearts!
Linda's notes....I wrote "I Know Love" as a gift to a very special friend. He was a priest in our parish who was being transferred out. He had a remarkable gift for sharing his love of God with others like I'd never known and I think this gift is what made him so loved by others. I performed this song for him at his farewell reception to thunderous applause. I had no idea at that time that it would end up as my title song in my third album. "I Know Love" is an expression of how many different facets there are to love and I'm very proud of it.
Linda's notes...Of course I'm a patriot! I love America! I have been privileged to sing our National Anthem on several occasions at very diverse venues over many years.
